Couples Counselling
Why should you think about Couples Counselling?
Even when a relationship feels on the brink, couples counselling can offer a chance for understanding, closure, or potential reconciliation. It provides a neutral platform to explore underlying issues, process emotions, and gain clarity.
Couples counselling offers benefits even if a relationship feels strained. It offers a chance to explore unresolved issues, rebuild trust, set goals, and gain insights into patterns that led to distance.
Counselling provides guidance to help partners reconnect emotionally, fostering growth, and facilitating productive conversations that may lead to positive changes, even when the relationship seems at a breaking point.
Couples Counselling proposes a more secure and intimate connection equipping couples with actionable strategies to build lasting relationships founded on trust, respect, and emotional connection that supports their mutual growth and well-being.
You should consider couples counselling when there are relationship challenges and communication breakdowns. Having a safe place to talk in a neutral space allows open discussion, healthy communication, and strengthens emotional connection.

My Approach to Couples Counselling
My approach to couples counselling is combining the principles of Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) (Developed by Dr Susan Johnson) and Gottman Therapy (Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman).
This seamlessly integrated approach combines EFT’s emphasis on exploring and healing emotional attachment wounds with Gottman’s practical tools for communication and conflict resolution, offering couples a comprehensive path to relational growth.
Using this approach I have found couples gain insight into their underlying emotional dynamics and attachment patterns that are standing in their way of connection.
Counselling empowers couples to navigate conflict with empathy, while building a foundation of emotional safety and trust equips couples with the insights, tools, and strategies they need to create a more satisfying and enduring relationship.
It’s never too late to seek support and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling relationship through counselling.
